Houston at Texas: Over 129.5

The Cougars are on a hot streak, going for their fifth straight win after a convincing 74-52 victory against Kansas State. On the other hand, Texas is looking to rebound from an 84-72 loss to No. 21 BYU, relying on their strong 10-2 home record.

Despite averaging 76.8 points per game, Texas has struggled to break 80 in their last ten games and 13 of their previous 14. Facing the top-ranked Houston defense, known for allowing just 51.9 points per game and 35.1% field-goal percentage, the Longhorns face a challenging offensive matchup. The Cougars have held opponents to 60 or fewer points in 16 of their 20 contests.

So why the Over? Houston has only had four road games this year, and this total has hit over in the last 2. Texas is a much better team at home behind the arc at 39.32% with a 49.08 FG%. Instead of Houston’s defense taking over to control the game, they may have to keep up, and even though they are favored (4.5), we could see a game of trading buckets, and we should take advantage of the low total.

Bonus: The spread is moving in favor of Texas to +5, and we would be willing to take Texas if it moves to +5.5. So keep an eye out.

Result: Over +18.5 and Texas Cover +1.5 ✅ ✅
