Phoenix Suns at Orlando Magic: Suns -1.5

The Orlando Magic have been struggling to find their scoring touch lately, falling short of 110 points in their last nine games and managing just a 2-7 record. They’ve only hit the over in three of those matchups. On the flip side, the Phoenix Suns have been on fire on the road, averaging an impressive 128 points and holding a solid 5-1 record in their last five away games.

Despite a hot start to the season, the Magic have hit a rough patch, going 3-7 in their last ten games and 4-6 against the spread. When these two teams faced off earlier in the year, the Suns came out on top with a 112-107 victory on their home turf. Both squads are coming off nail-biting losses, but the edge has to go to the Suns as the stronger team.

While Orlando’s defense ranks in the top 10 in the NBA, their offensive firepower might struggle to keep up, especially against Durant and Booker – even if Beal takes a back seat due to a nose injury (although he toughed it out on Friday night).

I’m also optimistic about the over, especially if the Suns keep up their scoring spree on the road. However, with the playoffs looming and the Suns eager to secure a better standing and dodge the play-in tournament, it’s wise to back the stronger team when the spread is this close.
